Important Issues to Keep in Mind When Designing SEO Friendly Web Pages

Content is a fundamental element in all websites and more so if the quality and SEO elements are well structured. If your content is poor then you will simply not appear in the search engine rankings.

This said; if you over-optimize your content then you could be in for the same trouble. For if you create content with too many keywords then it will be ranked as being too usable and less friendly for readers. What you need is a balanced use of SEO and user-friendly content.

The length of your content is the first issue you should consider. If you want your page to be used for SEO purposes, then you should consider an ideal length of 250 words minimum, plus your headings and subtitles. However, a page that has between 500 and 1000 words will probably rank better if it is optimized with the right keywords.

Some pages will not really need much content as this may create a diminished user-experience interface, these may include forums, blogs and e-commerce websites. A short area of content at the top of these pages may work well without disrupting the browsing of the pages.

However, with some websites that include various categories for users to navigate between where content is already included, 250 words of text may disturb the usability of the links and menu bars. In these cases, you can add a few hundred characters of static content on the heading of the category pages, allowing for descriptive keyword content.
The keyword density is ideally between 2 and 5 percent and has to work well with the flow of the context. If readers notice that some words are too recurrent then this will make the text less compelling and closer to spam content. You should place your keywords in the headings and in your subtitles adding variation to the keywords, which can allow an additional percentage of keyword presence.

It is important to make your paragraphs as readable as possible. This means that your readers can scan them quickly and be able to grasp the general meaning of each paragraph, while being able to get the information they were looking for. Each paragraph should contain three or four sentences, which will render the reader’s experience more fluid.

If you use bullet lists within your paragraphs this will attract the readers’ attention on determined issues within the content. However, in terms of SEO these areas are considered as broken content and not as written content, so you have to structure them as follows: you can either use these bullets at the top of your page to list the content of the article, which will help readers know what you will be covering in the main context, or place the bullets towards the end of the page and integrate it as an additional subsection. If you have placed a considerable amount of content before your bullets then these will not be considered as an obstacle in your search engine ranking.

Hey there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
